- Expanded the role of MRI to Abdomino-pelvic Imaging and won the Brig. Mazumdar Memorial Award for young scientist for the work on the role of MRI in Carcinoma Cervix
- Contributed in establishing and spreading the knowledge of Computed Tomography amongst radiologists and clinicians.
- Instrumental in getting the first Spiral CT in South Delhi and then in East Delhi.
- Promoted the concept of safe contrast usage by advocating the presence of an Anesthesiologist and mandatory Renal Function checks in Diabetic patients.

- Amongst first few in the country to learn CT & MRI when these modalities were in their infancy
- Instrumental in establishing and promoting Modern Imaging, especially the Magnetic Resonance Imaging in India & neighbouring countries
- Expanded the role of MRI to Abdomino-pelvic Imaging and won the Brig. Mazumdar Memorial Award for young scientist for the work on the role of MRI in Carcinoma Cervix
- Contributed in establishing and spreading the knowledge of Computed Tomography amongst radiologists and clinicians.
- Instrumental in getting the first Spiral CT in South Delhi and then in East Delhi.
- Promoted the concept of safe contrast usage by advocating the presence of an Anesthesiologist and mandatory Renal Function checks in Diabetic patients.
- Highlighted and promoted Radiation Safety for staff, patients and the attendants.
- A strong advocate of low radiation exposure to patients for diagnosis promoted the concept of Diagnostic Image instead of beautiful image
- In collaboration with IIT assessed the impact of vibration in tractor drivers which led to changes in the shock absorbers of tractors to prevent Spinal problems in farmers.
- As part of NABH technical committee, helped in establishing the standards for imaging in the country.
- At JNU helped in formulating the ethical norms for research involving diagnostics in human beings
